General Education Diploma - Safety Tickets to Construction Training

Description:

PREP FOR SUCCESS
Rupertsland Institute is looking for Métis people 18 years or older with less than a grade 12 education, pursuing employment in the construction field.
Participants will receive General Education Diploma (GED) exam preparation, take the GED exam, get safety tickets, and 120 hours of Construction Job Placement.
Successful participants will receive their General Education Diploma, and all necessary safety tickets to work within construction or industry employment.

Taste of the Trades Summer Camp

Eco & Adventure Tourism

LEAD THE ADVENTURE WITH A CAREER IN ECO TOURISM
Métis youths, ages 17-20, will receive practical preparation to pursue a career or further education in the Eco & Adventure Tourism field. 
Earn $1,200.00 upon successful completion of this program. Top participant may receive an award of $1,000.00 to assist with post-secondary education.

Environmental Career Program

Class 1 Driver Training

PUT THE HAMMER DOWN AND CRUISE YOUR WAY TO SUCCESS AS A CLASS 1 TRUCK DRIVER
Métis clients will receive the following training:
- Log books
- In-truck training
- On-the-job training
- Standard First Aid
- TDG
- WHMIS
- Air brake endorsement
- Professional Driver’s Improvement course
- Pre-trip coupling/uncoupling
- Cargo securement and weights & dimensions

Clients maybe eligible to receive income support during training. Accommodations may be provided for those meeting the requirements.
