Class 1 Driver Training

PUT THE HAMMER DOWN AND CRUISE YOUR WAY TO SUCCESS AS A CLASS 1 TRUCK DRIVER
Métis clients will receive the following training:
- Log books
- In-truck training
- On-the-job training
- Standard First Aid
- TDG
- WHMIS
- Air brake endorsement
- Professional Driver’s Improvement course
- Pre-trip coupling/uncoupling
- Cargo securement and weights & dimensions

Clients maybe eligible to receive income support during training. Accommodations may be provided for those meeting the requirements.

Transition to Post-Secondary

If you’re a Métis Youth in Grade 10 - 12 this program may be for you.

Attend a five day post-secondary experience while staying in residence at MacEwan University.  Learn what it means to be a University student, how to apply for school, learn to budget as a student, career exploration, mentorship, leadership, cultural teachings and much more.

Safety Certification and Training Program

Description:

LET US HELP YOU SECURE THE SKILLS TO WORK IN A CHALLENGING CAREER
If you’re a Métis over the age of 18 and have a strong interest in working in the construction industry, this program may be for you.
After four weeks in the classroom you’ll learn valuable skills, gain knowledge, and get training and certification in a wide variety of areas.
After the classroom you’ll have the opportunity to participate in 120 hours of facilitated work experience in the construction industry.
