Canadian Youth Leadership Program

Payroll Administrator Program

Description:

EMPLOYERS ARE SEEKING PAYROLL PROFESSIONALS
This project will provide successful participants with the skills, knowledge, practical experience, and certification to seek employment as a Payroll Administrator. You will learn how to process an organization’s annual payroll cycle, communicate payroll information to all stakeholders, and understand the accounting function as it relates to payroll.
Successful participants will be certified as a Payroll Compliance Practitioner including a one-year membership to The Canadian Payroll Association.  You may qualify for income support during training.

Tradewinds to Success

This 16 week Pre-Apprenticeship Program will provide the skills and knowledge to start a career in the trades.
Training for Boilermakers, Carpenters, Electricians, Ironworkers, Millwrights, Plumbers, Steam/, Pipefitters, Welders, Insulators.Eligibility:
- Aboriginal living in Alberta
- Unemployed, underemployed or employment threatened
- Minimum Grade 10 Math, English & Science
- Interested in pursuing a career in one of the trades offered
- Ready, willing and able to complete training and gain employment
- Funding may be available to those who qualify

Chainsaw Safety Basics

ADD A POWERFUL TOOL TO YOUR CAREER TOOLBOX
If you’re a Métis individual over the age of 18, interested in working as a slasher in the oilfield industry, this program may be for you!
This program is designed to provide you with the opportunity to be employable in the labour force with the highly recognized Enform Level 1 Basic Chainsaw Course. 
Training includes chainsaw handling and operation, maintenance, hazard assessment, hands on bucking, etc. Successful participants will receive safety certification, safety boots and gloves to commence employment as slashers in the oilfield industry.
