Our programs are the vehicle through which the LMD unit helps you maximize your labour market potential and meet or exceed the demands of Alberta’s growing economy. Our impressive range of programs provides support to eligible clients whatever your training needs may be. Although all programs have their own additional criteria, the following applies to all LMD Programs.

Primary Eligibility Criteria

• Has self-identified as Métis
• Has established Alberta residency
• Be willing, ready and able to complete a training intervention
• Has demonstrated a need for training or retraining

Training Criteria

• Links directly to employment
• Results in provincially accredited or industry recognized certification
• Leads to self-sufficiency
• Clients must complete and submit all required Training Request Documents to the Employment Counsellor ten working days prior to training start date
