Industrial Safety Ticket Training| Project Type: | Safety Certification |

| Description: | For individuals who have the skills required for an occupation but are lacking the necessary safety certification to obtain employment. Tickets available are Standard First Aid, CPR, H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG, PITS Construction Safety, Flagger Training, Confined Space, Ground Disturbance. |
Métis Heavy Equipment Operator

| Description: | Safety, classroom, simulator, and employability training. On Machine training on excavator, front end loader, back hoe, dozer, mini-hoe with push blade and more. |
Firefighter Career Preparation

| Description: | Preparation for the 2010 Firefighter recruitment process across the province. Clients will gain firefighter training prerequisites, physical conditioning, and academic knowledge. |
Projects for Northwestern Alberta (Regions 5 & 6)
Health Sciences Transition Program| Project Type: | Pre-Employment |
| Location: | Peace River - NAIT Campus |
| Start Dates: | August 4, 2009 to March 31, 2010 |
| Application Deadline: | July 10, 2009 |
| Description: | Upgrading of English, Math and Science required for entry into a health sciences technology program, such as Medical Sonography, X-ray Technician, Lab Technician, LPN and more, at an Alberta post-secondary institution. |
Projects for Northeastern Alberta (Regions 1 & 2)
Métis Family Dayhome Training| Project Type: | Self-Employment |
| Location: | Lac la Biche |
| Start Dates: | August 3, 2009 to February 26, 2010 |
| Application Deadline: | July 10, 2009 |
| Description: | Training and support to become an approved Family Day Home Provider. Participants will receive Level One Child Care, First Aid and Home Business Certification. Other support may be provided by the Métis Nation of Additional support may be provided through the Métis Nation of Alberta. |
Aboriginal Trade Preparation Program

| Description: | Trades exploration and Trades Essential Skills training (including math, science, English, computer skills and document use) Clients who successfully complete this training will be offered employment with Syncrude. |
Life Enhancement & Empowerment Program (LEEP)

Trade Winds to Success

Women Moving Forward

Construction Craft Laborer Training

Pre-Employment Transit Operator Program

Health Care Aide Training

| Description: | Preparation for employment in hospital nursing units. Reception, computer, and hospital communications skills, medical terminology and processing medical orders. |

Petroleum Land Administration

| Description: | A four month program that includes interpreting land contracts and agreements including leases, transfers, and joint venture agreements; lease record-keeping, land system software. |
Métis Family Dayhome Program

| Description: | Training and support to become an approved Family Day Home Provider. Bridges Employment Program
